Your New Role

This is a new position, which will become part of a high functioning global team responsible for localising and distributing marketing and promotional content across, MAX, Linear, networks, affiliates, original and local productions across TV streaming and social media, covering content for some of the biggest titles for our WBD brands such as HBO, Kids & Discovery+. This role has the opportunity for the right person to be part of a growing dept and help position it for long term success. The wider group covers long form theatrical, television, games, and short form content for WB theatrical.

The main role of the Manager is to support the creation and distribution of dubbed and subtitled version trailers, marketing & publicity content of WBD for the EMEA markets ensuring that our marketing content is effectively localized for TV audiences across various regions. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of localization and specifications for TV platforms & social media content types. Collaborating and coordinating across the teams, dubbing studios, local offices, 3rd parties to ensure all projects are completed on time and to high expectations. They should have excellent project management skill and a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for tracking and providing daily and weekly reporting of assets to key stakeholders. They are to make calculated decisions whilst troubleshooting issues and keep calm in a high-pressured environment. They should be prepared to assist management with projects, workflows, and tooling. They are primarily responsible to ensure all records in our WBD systems are updated and contacts are onboarded within our systems.

Your Role Accountabilities

Relationships & Communication: (10%)

Maintains relationships with stakeholders, local markets, Regional Marketing & Programming and key contacts for EMEA WB offices and licensees.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders providing expertise and support communicating clearly on all day-to-day operational activities.
  • Co-ordinate activities across WBD GCO marketing ops, localization vendors ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of content.
  • Providing clear instructions with debut, localization, orders, local offices, dubbing studios and vendors for all our marketing content.
  • Report regularly on project statuses to key stakeholders and summary of our trailer debuts at debut time.

Localisation & Distribution: (65%)

Assists with planning and implementation of marketing Localization efforts for EMEA marketing content. Includes, but not limited to:

  • Support line manager with marketing schedules, comms, creative and scheduling issues.
  • Review all trailers, marketing, and publicity pieces as they are being finished to gain an understanding of the requirements of each piece.
  • Internal and external vendor management – working on continuous improvement for ordering / tracking and automation efforts
  • Handle sensitive and confidential material appropriately & securely
  • Regular calls with our vendors and local offices to negotiate delivery schedules, timelines.
  • Work with WB local office and vendors to ensure all dubbed and subtitled localization content are delivered and tracked within the agree timelines. This includes scheduling within the appropriate timelines.
  • Support metrics and be able to present these to senior leadership
  • Informing key territory contacts of new content availability, survey and place orders for localized assets, tracking these orders through till the point of delivery for allocated territories.
  • Create and approve purchase orders to vendors to start work requested and reconcile POs when required.
  • Liaise with dubbing studios & territory dubbing managers regarding recording, mixing and delivery schedule of dubbed mixes.
  • Conduct Quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with localisation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain extensive tracking tools of all marketing assets that have been versioned.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during localization/distribution of content.
  • Provide support for other marketing operations activities as needed.

Innovation & Development: (15%)

  • Identify opportunity areas and work with line manager to make recommendations to workflow improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in localization to continuously improve processes and strategies.
  • New project management system integration
  • Bring ideas for change to the conversation
  • Make informed decisions to achieve the best outcomes

Management: (10%)

Provides Support for 1 x direct report on their day-to-day project work, troubleshooting and providing guidance

  • Develop CHAT discussions with direct reports.
  • Responsible for guiding their direct reports as they complete a project.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Technically minded with a keen interest in new technologies
  • Experience in localization and/or operations function for a media company
  • Experience in streaming preferred
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Additional language skills advantageous
  • Adept with both Mac and PC operating systems, relevant office applications and editing software: Final Cut pro, Pro Tools, Playback Pro is desired.
  • Navigation of content management systems

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
