Ventia are currently recruiting for Lifeguards to join our team. We are pleased to offer roles that include job security/ Flexible working arrangements and full on the job training. RAAF Base Tindal is based approximately 15km South of the Katherine township.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General pool management and administration associated with water quality and other legislative requirements
• Overseeing the Emergency Action Plan
• Checking and using pool rescue equipment
• Checking advisory signs
• Pool surface, sub surface cleaning and pool surrounds
• Supervising bathers
• Ensuring bathers adopt safe water entry practices
• Ensuring pool users move safely about the pool area
• Ensure all pool users adhere to site-specific orders and instructions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold a current Pool Lifeguard qualification
• HLTFA311A Apply Senior First Aid
• Requalify in all lifeguard specific competencies annually
• Hold a current Working with Children Check
• Rescue and Resuscitation qualifications (often known as depth test) to at least the deepest part of the pool at their facility (valid for 12 months).
• Ability to be able to gain Department of Defence Security Clearance
