As the Global Insights Officer (Data Analyst), you will perform crucial data analysis to inform both the day-to-day operations of the team, as well as broader strategic planning and reporting. You will aim to enhance international student applications, conversion, and retention processes for the University.

In this role you will:

  • Maintain an effective reporting framework to deliver consistent high-quality analysis and dashboards.
  • Transform, model, and visualise data from core information systems including SAS, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Benchmark Sector and Internal performance to identify trends in international Higher Education.

In this role, you will enjoy considerable autonomy over data analysis and reporting, representing Global as the subject matter expert on international student data.

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience accessing core systems for Data Management & Analysis.
  • Capability to translate data insights to and apply them to real-world situations in a large organisation.
  • Ability to develop a sound understanding of the international education market, related policies, and industry trends.

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $82,707 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  1. A degree in Data Science or related disciplines; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, training or specialist certifications.
  2. Demonstrated experience accessing the core systems for information technology, and the ability to quickly develop expertise in SAS, SQL, and Power BI.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively in Division and University wide initiatives, including the facilitation formal presentations and executive reporting.
  4. Highly developed organisational skills, and the ability to develop and implement plans and manage multiple complex tasks with competing deadlines.
