About the Unit

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, Financial Services aims to be an enabler of strategy through providing high quality financial services and products that respond to the changing needs of the business and financial governance and provide tangible and measurable value to the University. Financial Services covers Corporate Accounting & Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance Business Support & Advisory and Purchase to Pay.

In this role you will:

  • Maintain the University Long Term Finance Plan including scenario modelling to support Council and Executive through planning decisions.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to build robust financial models for the use in the development of business cases and to evaluate the financial and non-financial strength of the business case. Business cases will predominantly be for the delivery of capital works required to deliver the University's Campus Master Plan - Physical and Digital Infrastructure.
  • Provide high-level, timely, influential and business-oriented advice to the key stakeholders and make appropriate recommendations to management for action.

This position is for a fixed term for parental leave cover. It is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

How will you inspire us?

You will have:

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, financial modelling and analytical skills; you will be adept at sourcing, modelling and analysing data, identifying trends, and drawing insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to think strategically and quickly to develop an understanding the broader context of the business, including its goals and objectives.

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $119,778 +17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
