The primary purpose of this position is to provide a sustainable pipeline of work for the Major Projects business. This role will ensure the smooth running of a tender on time and within budget and will manage the relationship with the client/JV partner/primary contractor. It will ensure that all the client's questions have been answered as fully as possible and will undertake effective measures to increase the probability of UGL winning the contract (if deemed viable) and successfully completing the project
- Have a strong understanding of the various markets that UGL / CIMIC participates in, with a view to influencing clients as to UGLs capabilities and the be ahead of the tender RFQ.
- Develop relationships with key clients to facilitate UGL (CIMIC) / Client opportunities
- Coordinate and manage the preparation and submitting of completed tenders for allocated project’s and manage the process between proposal submission to contract award through to the handover with the mobilisation of the projects.
- Effectively manage the tender spend budget
About You
- Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Engineering, Marketing etc..).
- Understanding of commercial, contractual, financial and legal issues.
- Knowledge of railway, infrastructure including tunnelling, communications
- Tendering and bid management knowledge and understanding.
- Must have an Australian Drivers Licence
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
