Operational Control Centre Operator
Salary: $34.54ph + shift allowances + overtime
About the Role
Move millions of passengers safely, reliably and on time
Support the minute-by-minute performance of our bus services across our network
Ensure that bus services are delivered in accordance with the network service plan
Provide day to day operations to manage disruptions to services, crew changes and monitor incidents and vehicle breakdowns
Respond to critical incidents and prepare written reports
Interact with key stakeholders including emergency services, client representatives and security officers via phone, radio and intercom systems
Practise and implement health and safety processes including risk assessments.
Provide excellent customer service.
Follow internal process and procedures with all day-to-day operations in relation to emergency and critical incidents, and
Follow internal processes and procedures in relation to any service disruptions.
Based at our Bankstown Airport bus depot in a state of the art Operational Control Centre
Rotating roster - remuneration will be based on an annual salary plus shift allowances
**Please note this is a full-time fixed term hire role (38 hours per week + overtime) that finishes on 5th August 2023 but there is a chance of being offered work beyond this date**
About You
Demonstrated experience in similar operations, scheduling environments and/or high-volume administration role. Previous radio room experience would be highly regarded
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to plan contingencies within an operational context
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Must be willing to work a 7-day shift roster including regular work on Saturdays and Sundays. Shifts may start as early as 4am and may finish as late as 10pm. There is a requirement every 6 weeks to complete two overnight shifts as part of the rolling roster from 830pm to 4am the following morning (Friday into Saturday, and Saturday into Sunday).
