HR Advisor
We have an opportunity for a proactive Generalist HR Advisor to join the People & Culture team at Transdev Wellington.This role supports a portfolio of frontline people managers and coaches and develops our Team Leaders.

What the role involves:
Working in our small HR team across a range of HR activities. Key accountabilities include:
Providing advice and support across all Human Resource matters
Coaching and developing line managers and team leaders guiding, mentoring, and training through Human Resource matters
Ensuring correct HR processes are followed and meet legal obligations and Transdev’s policies
Working with line managers to meet workforce planning requirements and ensuring these are in line with the function/business strategy.
Ensuring annual performance and development plans and talent management programmes are effective
Providing reporting for internal/external stakeholders (contractual obligations, employee hours and business planning).
Identifying and/or developing initiatives to improve business performance (i.e. manage absenteeism, reduce leave liabilities)
Contributing to Transdev HR projects such as Engagement Surveys, facilitating training sessions, and contributing to Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
We are looking for applicants with at least 4 of the following HR competencies:
Recruitment selection and onboarding of new employees – with working knowledge of a range of assessment tools
Employment Relations – predominantly investigations, disciplinary processes, and performance management
HRIS/Payroll knowledge
HR reporting – experience writing for external stakeholders and preparing reports for executives
Leadership coaching
Employee engagement – implementing and analysing staff surveys
Management and development of HR policies and processes
Training and facilitation
Working knowledge of the following or similar systems:
SagePeople
ProMapp
Microsoft 365
You will have:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
At least 1 years experience as an advisor or HR assistant
Experience in ER/IR matters within a heavily unionised environment is highly desirable
Previous experience in a HR Generalist advisory role within a complex business.

This role is predominantly based at our Support Office in Thorndon with some work at the Wellington Railway Station and across our network.
