What you'll contribute to


An exciting opportunity for a Toyota Production Systems Specialist to join our People & Culture division in a permanent full-time capacity or part time (3-4 days a week) capacity.


The People and Culture Division (P&C) is responsible for HR resources and the provision of Toyota best practice consultancy, training, and development services to both internal customers and external businesses. This includes, but is not limited to, Toyota employees, dealers, suppliers, vehicle importers and the broader community.


The Toyota Production System (TPS) Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting project teams to implement the Toyota Production System to help solve strategic operational problems within Toyota and externally through social contribution work. This role is also responsible for documentation of new project scopes, improvement strategies, delivery of formal and informal training and practical support at the project companies' worksite.


This is a permanent role based in Altona North with travel required for the role.


How you'll make an impact

  • Assist the team in providing on-site support of project teams and support coaching in the application of the Toyota Production System to visualise and solve business problems. Project assistance can range from support to lead based on project complexity.
  • Assist in the delivery of Toyota training content formally and informally to groups including internal and external members to share knowledge of TPS and its application.
  • Support scoping of new projects including project company visit and proposal documentation.
  • Development and maintenance of visual management tools to accurately show the status of projects and results to drive improvement.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with all stakeholders to review project milestones and ensure plans, progress and issues are clearly communicated.
  • Lead annual internal TSSC business process improvement projects and report out monthly on project status.

  • Degree qualification or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years' accumulative experience.
  • Experience in the automotive industry advantageous.
  • Experience in delivering training and coaching to internal and external customers both on and offsite.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
