What you'll contribute to


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Senior Planning and Insights Specialist to join our National Marketing Division until 31st December 2024.


The National Marketing Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all national marketing, brand, internal & external communications, digital, public relations and guest relationship management in order to position Toyota as the guests' brand of choice throughout and beyond the entire product lifecycle and contribute to achievement of sales volume, market share and profitability objectives.


The Senior Planning and Insights Specialist is primarily responsible for managing the business and operational planning activities along with insights studies for the Marketing Division to achieve corporate sales and profit targets.


This role is based in Port Melbourne with flexible work arrangements on offer.

  • Implement and review agreed business and operational planning processes and procedures including annual plans to achieve divisional objectives.
  • Provide advice on and assist managers in the development of business management policies and standards to optimise divisional management.
  • Manage department financial reporting with the management team.
  • Monitor divisional compliance with relevant regulations to minimise Toyota's risk exposure and liabilities.
  • Coordinate in the gathering, summary, analysis and reporting of information, results, and insights.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, information and presentations in order to inform sound decision making.
  • Manage research projects and insights reporting to inform the business for key decision making.
  • Manage suppliers' reviews and marketing material approval platforms for compliance of marketing materials.

  • Qualification in Business, Marketing, Research, Analytics, or related discipline highly desired.
  • Solid work experience in similar role.
  • Positive, detail orientated and a self-motivated professional with the ability to think strategically.
  • Experience in business planning, marketing insights, research or data analytics from a research agency, client side or a strategic planning role.
  • Capacity to understand, analyse and report on data.
  • Exposure to marketing asset management and reporting platforms, not essential.
  • Ability to participate in a collaborative team environment and present recommendations to decision makers.
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills and take on self-development opportunities.
