Inventory Analyst
What you'll contribute to
The Accessories Inventory Analyst is primarily responsible for forecasting and ordering supply of local and overseas source accessories for both domestic and export customers in order to ensure the most efficient logistics flow, from ordering to point of shipment and final delivery to customers (guests).
In addition, you will be accountable to load all vendor, regulatory and inventory item attributes into multiple systems, perform item auditing and reconciliation of all inbound and outbound inventory to ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and compliance.
How you'll make an impact
- Implement agreed Accessories inventory processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to achieve NPAD objectives.
- Support daily, weekly and monthly inventory control processes to contribute towards guest satisfaction, and ensure the right parts are in the right place at the right time.
- Conduct daily ordering and stocking activities for local and overseas sourced accessories for Toyota and Lexus, in line with just in time principles, to ensure supply meets demand. Assist in controlling the movement of stock between states to optimise the demand and supply, reduce excess and prevent obsolescence.
- Monitor and analyses performance against KPIs relating to supply rate, inventory control, delivery due date (DDD), estimated time of departure (ETD), and stocking costs. Recommends countermeasures where required.
- Use and maintain reporting systems in order to provide the business stakeholders with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Update inventory management business and systems documentation and stock controls to ensure that any changes in systems, processes and procedures are documented and communicated accurately.
- Provide specialist support to stakeholders (including suppliers) in order to secure delivery at expected quality and at optimal cost. Supports ongoing supplier management.
- Monitor tasks with respect to compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements in order to minimise Toyota's risk exposure and liabilities.
What we're looking for
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain / Logistics or equivalent experience
- 2+ years' accumulative experience in the automotive or supply chain industry
- Experience in Logistics or supply chain management
- Sound product knowledge
- Good communications skills
- Strong problem solving and data analysis skills
- Understanding of the parts business and its operational requirements
- Experience working with parts systems (G-TOPAS/Taipan preferable), SAP and related systems
