TE Connectivity’s Aerospace, Defense and Marine (ADM) Business Unit is recruiting for its Product Development Engineering Rotation program. The Rotation Program is a two-year program that provides young professionals with the opportunity to be part of multiple project-driven assignments in various organizations in areas such as Product Development, Product/Sustaining Engineering, and Manufacturing/Process Development. Woven into the two years is a robust technical and leadership curriculum that is accomplished through hands-on practice, training courses and other informational sessions. The sessions include exposure to a variety of other functions such as Quality, Procurement, Product Mgmt and Project Mgmt. Additionally, rotation engineers will gain experience in the Product Lifecycle, from concept creation to development of product that are stamped, injection-molded, screw-machined, die-cast, plated and/or assembled using a variety of processes. Investing these two years in the development of engineering talent builds a strong foundation upon which to continue building a promising career with TE.
At the conclusion of the two-year program, the successful candidate will move into a permanent engineering position in the ADM Marine, Oil, & Gas (MOG) group. You will design and develop new product platforms as well as support modifications, product extensions and product derivatives for new applications. Working closely with the business office and sales teams, you will support customer demands for assigned product lines offering technical assistance to both internal and external customers.
The Engineer 1 primarily supports the other Engineering bands in the business while they learn the product(s) they are responsible for. Once competence is gained, the Engineer I may lead some of their own projects to continue to develop into the next level of Engineer II.

This position will primarily be a desk-based position, but you may be asked to perform hand on testing and lift up to 50lbs. When performing these tasks, it is mandatory to follow all site HSE guidelines and requirements.
80% Office Time
20% time on Production floor
Less than 10% travel
What your background should look like:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related engineering experience
Able to deliver quality results without appreciable direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate with a technical team consisting of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers
Willingness to shift priorities as business pressures demand
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Proficient in 3D CAD/CAE software (Creo Preferred)
U.S. Citizenship Required
