Truck Driver
JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role
Team Global Express is currently seeking an experienced HC Truck Driver with a LF Forklift License (advantageous), to commence immediately at our Hobart location. This is a Full Time Permanent Position with the opportunity to jump on board with our dedicated Bridgewater depot to service our major clients and customers. In this role you will be driving a HR truck on weekdays and a HC truck on the weekends.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- The Working days are Monday and Thursday-Sunday, starting time between 5:30 am-9 am
- Must have previous experience of driving a HC truck
- Good communication skills
- Complete deliveries and pickups promptly by using the handheld scanner and according to time frames
- Physically fit to hand unload the freight
- Must be able to load and unload your own freight using a forklift
- Must have a safety-first approach and demonstrate WHS practices and procedures consistently
- Follow and comply with company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes
- Restraining loads safely as well as the correct use of straps where required
- Complete own vehicle pre-start checks
Key Benefits
- Remuneration: $29.17 / hour for HR role and $30.28 / hour for HC role
- Overtime Available (After 8 hour): Overtime Rates apply outside of Regular Working Hours
- Weekend work available
- Saturday - first 2 hours 1.5 times & double times for the rest of the shift
- Sunday – Double times all day
- Monthly RDO
