The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Tenure Manager, Mining Rights & Resourcing Geology the purpose of this role is to maintain the integrity of the mineral and land holdings.

This position can be offered to the successful applicant as a permanent, full- time or permanent, part-time job share opportunity

Accountabilities

• Ensure statutory obligations are met for all mineral and land titles
• Maintains land and tenure agreements and associated obligations where applicable
• Oversees the maintenance of the spatial and digital databases for all mineral and land holdings
• Supervises the application, renewal or relinquishment of mineral titles and the acquisition or divestment of land titles
• Monitors third party tenements subject to royalty agreements and maintains agreements to manage continuing rights
• Assists with the negotiation of mineral and land title agreements

About you

• Sound working knowledge of land and tenement management and associated legislation
• Experience understanding and interpreting legal documents and relevant legislation
• An advanced understanding of land and tenure management systems and mapping applications
• An understanding of Native Title and Heritage processes
• Knowledge of all Australian jurisdictions, in particular NSW, QLD, WA and NT (DESIRABLE)

• Relevant degree or experience (land or legal related discipline)
