About the role

This role forms part of the Water Network team within the Network Delivery Branch, reporting to the Water Operations Engineer.

The role will require to assisting the coordination of the Annual Leak Detection Program, ensuring that contractors perform in accordance with the Asset Management Plan, along with the efficient operation of the reactive leak detection service to minimise non-revenue water (NRW) and customer disruptions.

Additionally, there will be a requirement to assist the Water Network Team for incident support as required.

About you

The skills and experience required for this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Year 12 certificate
  • Ability to prepare letters and reports on work standards and issues;
  • Good clear verbal communication with the ability to present and discuss complex information especially when dealing directly with customers with the ability to influence others and gain their cooperation;
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service to build strong relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Ability to operate leak detection equipment and computer software for analysis
  • Have the ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems in the field of leak detection
  • Ability to accept change and independently seek research and implement opportunities for improvement.
