The Campus Store sits within the Experience and Events program which includes Major Events (Welcome Days), Trips and Tours, Mates Mentor Program and campus activities.

The Role and Your Responsibilities

The casual Retail Assistant will perform daily operations such as, but not limited to, maintaining a fully stocked store, receiving all deliveries, processing sales accurately through the POS system and reconciling EOD finances without discrepancies. You will also provide assistance to students enquiring about Student Life experiences. This includes providing administrative and retail support for day to day operations of the store and major student’s events such as Welcome Days, Open Days, and Graduations as well as supporting other activation's such as promotional sales.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Applicants must be available to work predominantly at Bundoora but flexible to work across all campuses until the end of 2018.
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service.
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills with the ability to take initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a flexible team member committed to achieving individual and team goals.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Experience in working with detailed information and providing high-level administrative support in a University environment or in a similar large and complex organisation.
  • Availability to work varying hours
  • Applicants must have full availability for key event dates (4th, 5th, 6th and 12th December)
