We are looking for a Superintendent - Solution Development, the role is fundamental in designing, driving and maintaining effective governance practices and disciplines across the IS&T organisation and broader governance stakeholders. Primarily but not limited to; Business Cases enabling the right conditions for effective decision making, continual alignment to real-time strategic priorities, in a LEAN and AGILE manner and with continual value delivery at the heart.

As the successful applicant you will be accountable for providing and maintaining a coaching & support function to IS&T in the process, governance and development of Business Cases, ensuring a lean but effective construct and approach to enable efficient and timely delivery of programmes as the foundation of IS&Ts strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Manager Adv Gov Portfolio & Reporting and working in a diverse and collaborative environment within our Value Realisation Office, you will:

• Ensure mechanisms and processes for the successful implementation of an IS&T Business Case development, review and approval approach, inclusive of governance, assurance and related change management.
• Critical review and assessment of key IS&T business cases and investment proposals .
• Provide a key support role in strategic IS&T business case and IC presentation
• Work closely with the benefits management framework to ensure clarity and transition of benefits from business case to realisation (related to the alignment with achieving portfolio and IS&T objectives) for strategic IS&T business cases.
• Work in alignment with the Lean Portfolio Management transformation and ensuring effective transition of traditional business case approaches to LPM ways of working.
• Creation and maintenance of relationships throughout IS&T and G&I BA to ensure full visibility of activity in the “pipeline” for support and approval requirements, and to support the transformation to LPM WoW in relation to various Rio Tinto investment proposal and approval requirements.
• Partner with appropriate teams and individuals to ensure completion of in-flight and post-investment reviews.
• Responsible for contributing to direction and implementation of the Value Realisation Office strategy and objectives.
• Effectively contribute and communicate the strategic road map of the Value Realisation Office as it applies to the IS&T strategic roadmap.
