YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Our Service Delivery Group have an opportunity for a passionate people leader to join their team as General Manager Network Operations (Operations and Maintenance Planning) based in Brisbane, Queensland. This role will see you lead a diverse and multidisciplinary team in delivering services to our customers through the water and sewage network operations and planning the maintenance for Urban Utilities entire asset base. This includes delivering a budget of $50M to ensure services are optimised for over 600,000 properties and millions of customers
Reporting to the Executive Leader of Service Delivery, this is a big, hands-on opportunity, where you will be responsible for developing and driving the operations strategy with the purpose of facilitating real time performance and transforming water and sewage operations to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This role includes the management of culturally diverse teams across multiple locations, products and services.
Success in this role will be measured by how well operational, maintenance and customer interaction decisions are made to execute performance of the water and sewage networks, associated assets and pump stations in delivering customer experience. This will be done by leading a digital transformation on the way water and sewerage networks are operated and maintained. Our delivery of work is continually optimised through customer insights, reporting, operational intelligence and trade-offs to ensure customer outcomes and network performance.
ABOUT YOU
Ultimately you are commercially savvy, capable, driven and looking for an environment where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and will also possess
- Significant experience in management of a multi-disciplined, 24/7 operational function or similar utilities industry
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant science, engineering, business or environment related field or extensive relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in applying conceptual thinking and strategy development to delivering team and enterprise performance outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen in identifying and implementing efficiencies that improve whole of life financial performance, improve efficiency and drive customer outcomes.
- Significant experience leading technical teams to achieve performance outcomes through complex problem solving.
- Strong influencing and relationship building capabilities with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance and improve collaboration to meet shared business objectives
- Prior experience in managing a large, multi-disciplinary team with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, develop and manage teams
