About the role
As a High Voltage (HV) Electrician at Powerlink, you will work on our HV Transmission network, either maintaining existing substation equipment or assisting with the construction, installation and building of new primary plant.
In this customer-oriented role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and reliable supply of power to almost 5 million Queenslander customers and 238,000 business across Queensland, connecting Queenslanders to a world class energy future.
Working a 9-day fortnight with RDO’s every second Monday, you will be required to travel throughout Queensland as per the monthly work schedule, but you will be home every weekend to be with family and friends. Paid overtime hours and allowances are applicable, and you will work within a supportive team environment and with leaders who genuinely care about your well-being and work-life balance.

About you
You are a trade-qualified Electrician with an Electrical Fitter / Mechanic licence and a “C” Class driver’s licence.
Crucial to your success in this role, will be your background in safely maintaining, constructing and operating High Voltage electrical substation equipment with a Transmission, Distribution or large-scale Contractor organisation.
