Due to internal movement, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician for a fixed term contract on a part time basis.

Hours are Monday and Tues: Afternoon Shift (2:30pm – 10:30pm) Thursday and Fri: Day Shift (6:30am – 2:30pm)

The successful candidate will support the Quality agenda by ensuring all analytical and testing equipment is maintained, calibrated and available for each production shift in a timely manner.

Duties include:

Maintaining and improving quality and food safety systems

Performing analytical testing, analytical instrument calibration and maintenance

Driving site-wide quality projects

Trouble-shooting quality issues

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Qualifications in Science (Chemistry) or Food Science or related discipline (Preferable)

Previous laboratory experience in similar manufacturing environment (Essential)

High level of technical skills in the areas of instrumentation and/or chemistry

High level of mechanical reasoning

Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively within a team environment
