About Park Shield:

Park Shield was launched in June of 2021 and provides property and general liability solutions to the owners of manufactured home (MH) communities. Our insureds range from individuals that own 1 to 2 parks to institutions with large portfolios of 100 plus parks. We write on Accelerant Specialty Insurance Company paper (rated A- by AM Best with a financial size of IX) and Southlake Specialty Insurance Company paper (rated A- AM Best with a financial size VIII).

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced underwriter to help grow and maintain our program. This role offers the opportunity to underwrite a book of new and renewal business, build broker relationships, and influence technology and workflow improvements. You will also gain visibility into carrier and reinsurance relationships and the overall MGA build-out.

Responsibilities:

• Underwriting: underwrite, quote, and bind new and renewal business
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, and carrier partners. This includes traveling four to six times per year.
• Program Expansion: assist in the expansion of the program through the launch of additional products as well as expansion into related industry verticals.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of commercial property and casualty insurance underwriting experience
• Strong relationship-building skills with brokers and carrier partners.
• P&C producer license required (can be obtained after hire).
• Bachelor’s degree required.

The base salary range for this position is $76,000 – $115,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
