The Role

As a Senior Analyst Engineer, in the application support team, you will provide critical thinking and in-depth technical analysis of issues and clear and understandable communications with business stakeholders and the wider team. Their characteristics will include being a top-tier problem solver, an excellent communicator, the ability to mentor junior members of the team and a deep understanding of the technologies used within our space.

Day to day will include:

• Support software in a high-pressure environment
• Be able to work through issues to determine root cause
• Communicate with the business stakeholders in a clear and concise way during issues
• Be able to communicate issues including root cause to development teams (if the resolution resides with them)
• Articulate support requirements to development teams
• Coaching & mentoring of other Support Team members
• Manage the Geneos monitoring system in a well communicated federated way
• Work through and deliver enterprise audit requirements to internal and external auditors
• Maintain critical technology hygiene measures as stipulated by the enterprise
• Manage software releases and prepare for trading on Monday with some weekend work

What you will bring

• Technology experience
• Experience of supporting applications on a Linux platform
• Using SQL to investigate application issues.
• Experience of monitoring systems
• FIX protocol preferable
• Cloud technology preferable
• Kubernetes preferable
