The Role
As a Senior Analyst Engineer, in the application support team, you will provide critical thinking and in-depth technical analysis of issues and clear and understandable communications with business stakeholders and the wider team. Their characteristics will include being a top-tier problem solver, an excellent communicator, the ability to mentor junior members of the team and a deep understanding of the technologies used within our space.
Day to day will include:
- Support software in a high-pressure environment
- Be able to work through issues to determine root cause
- Communicate with the business stakeholders in a clear and concise way during issues
- Be able to communicate issues including root cause to development teams (if the resolution resides with them)
- Articulate support requirements to development teams
- Coaching & mentoring of other Support Team members
- Manage the Geneos monitoring system in a well communicated federated way
- Work through and deliver enterprise audit requirements to internal and external auditors
- Maintain critical technology hygiene measures as stipulated by the enterprise
- Manage software releases and prepare for trading on Monday with some weekend work
What you will bring
- Technology experience
- Experience of supporting applications on a Linux platform
- Using SQL to investigate application issues.
- Experience of monitoring systems
- FIX protocol preferable
- Cloud technology preferable
- Kubernetes preferable
