Global SureStep Program Lead

With a vision to "Build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more," Global Partner Solutions (GPS) is responsible for driving revenue outcomes with partners through innovative solutions–at scale!

The Partner GTM, Programs, & Experiences team within GPS brings together the Go-to-Market strategy, programs, and platforms to accelerate growth and improve partner experience across all partner segments.

The Global SureStep Program Lead must develop strong partnerships across our Indirect Provider global team, SMB customer segment, Incentives, BGs (MW, Azure, BizApps) and our field leadership to lead, execute and measure on SureStep priorities. This will be required to advance the continued improvement of the global SureStep investment. In addition, the individual will have to drive the rhythm of business with our 550+ SureStep ambassadors, our area SureStep leaders, and corporate stakeholders.

Successful candidates will have an exceptional ability to generate energy, drive cross team collaboration, and have a history of solving tough problems in complex environments, as well as the ability to demonstrate leadership and influence across a diverse set of stakeholders. This role relies on strong business acumen and being well versed in our indirect reseller model, sales leadership, and driving to sales target are key to being successful in this role. The candidate will be a trusted advisor of SureStep with core capability and expertise. They will create clear SureStep strategies and engagement across the organization that align to the growth targets and market share we will achieve. They will have an analytical, data-driven mentality that enables them to adapt and optimize SureStep to deliver the right results.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

Lead the integration, measurement and ROI of SureStep sales plays across the indirect provider model including through our ambassadors.

  • Plan, execute and measure motions drive customer adds through our SureStep Ambassadors
  • Maintain knowledge across our three key solution areas (Modern Work, Azure, Business Applications) and evangelize the SureStep program internally and externally.
  • Establish rhythm of the business with our SureStep ambassadors, field leaders and corporate stakeholders that include a focus on performance of SureStep investment.
  • Ensure an engagement model with the SureStep Ambassadors to provide them insight into new training, programs and best practices.

Working across GPS to prioritize and drive scalable motions to ensure our SureStep program is driving customer adds.

Serve as a strategic partner with our solution sales leader, GPS leaders and customer segment leaders in corporate and the field to ensure alignment on key strategies and performance that allow us to achieve the prioritized business goals.

  • Orchestrating execution to deliver on business metrics related to the Rhythm of the Business (ROB) and orchestrate Correction of Errors plans
  • Develop WW business strategies - partner with Indirect Provider team, customer segments, and our business groups to interpret market opportunity and risk and build appropriate strategies
  • Determine key insights and asks to accelerate growth of SureStep
  • Track and report solution performance/KPIs through standardized reporting that works globally and locally.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • Experience in technology solution sales for cloud services
  • Experience working with Indirect Provider Partner community
  • Partners. Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs
  • Passionate, results-driven, and organized approach; with an attention to detail: A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results.
  • The ability to work cross-team in ambiguous and changing environments, along with excellent listening and partnering skills. Must be comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment, and leading program v-teams or workstreams aligned to shared goals and measures.
  • Executive Relations: The ability to interact confidently with senior leaders in a highly-matrixed organization to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project, program, or solution. This includes the ability to confidently address difficult questions, handle pushback from a high-level audience, and maintain an executive demeanour while engaging in challenging or sometimes high-pressure situations

The base salary for this role in the STATE OF COLORADO is between USD $119,200 - $194,800

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
