ABOUT THE ROLE
The Network Operations and Security Specialist has responsibility for performing ongoing maintenance, administration, configuration, and operation of MTM’s Operational Technology security systems to ensure our protection, detection, and response services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be responsible for providing technical support and technical delivery capabilities to both internal and external stakeholders and supporting the Networks & Infrastructure Manager to maintain the effective operation of MTM’s Operational Technology Security Systems.
- Collaborate closely with a team of engineers to ensure alignment across all OT networks
- Respond to, and analyse Security Operations Centre (SOC) alerts and escalations to ensure Metro’s infrastructure is secure.
- Maintain OT host device firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Engage and work with MTM OCMS Security Architecture to ensure holistic security solutions are implemented, integrated, monitored and aligned with operational continuity and efficiencies.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Telecommunications, Computer Systems, Software Systems) or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia
- At least seven years of Network Engineering/Operations or related experience
- Demonstrated experience in Cyber Security, with respect to Network Engineering/Operations
- Experience with Anti-Malware solutions and vulnerability management tools and processes
- Experience in the management, configuration, administration and tuning of Juniper Firewalls, Junos Space and Security Director will be advantageous
