Metro Trains currently has an opportunity for an experienced Interface Coordinator to support the Metro Tunnel Project as part of the Rail Network Alliance by supporting the successful engineering interface between the Alliance, Metro and other third parties to support the delivery of a large scale complex project on Metro's behalf.

The role will be responsible for governance and stakeholder management supporting the collaborative resolution of technical and non-technical issues to ensure the best outcomes for the Alliance/Project and Metro.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Collaborate and work in partnership with engineering support (relevant to the project life cycle stage) which will vary and include scope, planning, costing, design, construction, implementation, change and risk management, testing and commissioning, contract management, completions, TOC development and submissions, rail safety requirements and rail accreditation protection
  • Provide management and engineering support (relevant to the project life cycle stage) which will vary and include scope, planning, design, construction, implementation, change and risk management, testing and commissioning, contract management, completions, rail safety requirements and rail accreditation protection
  • Support the management of disruption occupation, works readiness, subcontractors, train control, signalling, financial reporting, programming schedules, dashboards and reporting.
  • Coordinate and support the development, delivery management, and review of progress against plans to ensure they are on schedule and take effective remedial action as required.
  • Support the review and approval of construction documentation for the Alliance/Project on Metro’s behalf and other responsibilities allocated by the project/alliance against performance targets

About You

  • Industry-relevant tertiary qualifications (engineering or equivalent e.g. project management qualification)
  • Ideally Min 2 - 3 years’ experience working in an engineering, Construction, project management or equivalent discipline
  • Capability to contribute strategically to financial process improvements in budget management.
  • Experience within Victoria Rail projects would be highly regarded.
  • Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to with the ability to negotiate outcomes.
  • Communicates with influence and can build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep stakeholders informed.
