Claims Crime Prevention Technical Controller

A new role has arisen within our Crime Prevention Team, based from either Leeds, Bournemouth or Ipswich.
We are seeking an experienced Crime Prevention Controller with a motor claims background.

About the Role
To oversee linked and complex counter fraud investigations, influence counter-fraud processes across all channels and to be responsible for the development of fraud awareness across operational teams.
To support the technical development of Crime Prevention Consultants to prevent, detect and disrupt personal lines fraud threats, providing business support and working with external bodies such as the Insurance Fraud Bureau and other law enforcement agencies. To identify and highlight any emerging risks to ensure we protect our genuine customers and the business from financial crime harm.
About You
Knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience:
To have a good understanding of insurance case law relating to fraud
Ability to prepare witness statements and attend court as required
The ability to liaise with suppliers and law enforcement agencies confidently and proactively; and within agreed cost ratios
Technical understanding of insurance fraud and more complex claims handling skills; focusing on staged/contrived accidents and CPR process
To co-ordinate more complex linked and organised investigations in conjunction with Linked and Organised Manager; and feed back on industry issues
Ability to interpret I2 charts and coach others
Be an expert of claim repudiations
Expert understanding of CIFAS and ability load appropriate cases
Representing LV at industry events/forums such as IFIG, IFB, IFED and share any learning's across CCPT
Ability to analysis data and identify patterns and trends
Substantial experience of technical claim handling. Significant proven personal injury and catastrophic claims handling experience is required
Excellent reserving,litigation, negotiation and pro active case management skills
Excellent communication and mentoring ability
Ability to influence people and change in a fast paced environment
Ability to build effective internal and external relationships
Planning and organisation skills
Demonstrate a strong commercial focus in claims handling, able to articulate settlement plan, adopt a pro-active settlement strategy and ensure that cases capable of settlement are progressed by phone, visits etc.
Strong awareness of strategic claims issues and market and legal trends and initiatives
Project experience skills
ACII or Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice desirable
