As a Global Security Operations Centre Specialist in Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) team, you will maintain regional situational awareness, gather and communicate information relating to events, incidents and crisis that may impact the firm’s people, assets, or operations. GSOC Specialists support the firm wide crisis management structure by convening crisis team meetings, taking meeting notes, and providing written and verbal updates to crisis team members.

The Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Specialist position is an office based role staffed 24/7/365 on a rotational shift basis.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide support and situational updates to stakeholders for incidents that may impact the firm’s employees, assets, or operations, including;
    • Security incidents
    • Protest activity and civil unrest
    • Physical and digital infrastructure incidents
    • Severe weather conditions
    • Natural disasters, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or floods
  • Monitor and administer travel security operations, ensuring all travel to risk destinations is assessed, approved, and provided the required support.
  • Support the physical security teams during events by co-ordination, and dissemination of key information.
  • Triage and/or escalate First Aid and workplace incidents to the relevant responders and management teams.
  • Act as the first point of contact and provide support for enquiries from across the firm.
  • Compile and send travel and other analytical reports as scheduled/required

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple workstreams effectively whilst being proactive in communicating risks and issues and developing appropriate solutions.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with ability to produce comprehensive reports and briefs at pace
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, confident to present and brief at the highest levels.
  • Experience in Incident Management, Security Operations Centres, Crisis Management, or similar function
  • Have attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and procedures with the aptitude to identify areas of improvement
  • An aptitude to pick up new concepts and information quickly with the ability to ask effective questions.
  • Ability to work shift patterns including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
