Global Shares - Share Plan Tax Vice President
We are looking for a Share Plan Tax Specialist - Vice President to join our newly acquired business, Global Shares (a J.P. Morgan Company). The Global Shares Transaction was announced on March 15, 2022. Founded in 2005, Global Shares is a leading cloud-based provider of share plan management software. The role will see you as the Share Plan Tax Specialist, a subject matter expert in legal compliance for global employee share plans. The role focuses on relationship building and informative services for new and existing clients, providing up to date market information on regulatory and legal filing requirements for a variety of share plans operated throughout the world,.
Job Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with our clients. You'll be their go-to person when it comes to their questions on global employer share plan tax and regulatory compliance.
- You’ll provide timely and accurate information to existing and potential clients on legal and tax requirements related to employer equity plans and assist clients with their ongoing compliance requirements.
- Provide clients with insights around industry best practices to keep them on the right side of regulation with their global share plans.
- Keep up to date with the latest legal requirements in different jurisdictions and ensure our clients are always in the know with the latest changes that may impact them.
- Be on hand and proactive in supporting our clients when they're dealing with regulatory filing requirements that come with implementing and running global share plans in different countries.
- Have an eye for spotting and tackling any tax challenges ahead of time.
Required Qualification, Skills & Capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- You will have experience in a similar consulting or in-house role, and will be able to demonstrate deep legal and regulatory knowledge behind the operation and roll out of employee share plans throughout multiple jurisdictions
- Technically savvy, with strong communication skills
- You have a deep belief in team success, and a desire to take ownership over responsibilities
