Job Responsibilities :

  • Leadership of a Team of 12 covering governance and settlement processes for the UK market.
  • Ownership of the UK physical Vault and safekeeping service offering as well as the processing and settlement of UK physical and residual instructions. Partner with Custody Product leads to develop and enhance the existing Physicals service offering and build out of strategic operating model for Physical instructions. Oversee the Fund Services Only (FSO) processes in close collaboration with FSO product to develop the offering and also exceed Client expectations around speed of account opening.
  • Own the Custody nostro opening process in collaboration with the ROU and Client onboarding Teams for any strategic projects. Deliver efficient and expedited account opening to minimize delay and shorten time to market.
  • Oversight lead for offshored settlement functions to both the India and Philippines GSC locations. Chair of monthly governance calls, review of key metrics and key messages to ensure exceptional Client experience and minimize settlement failures and exposure. Ensure close collaboration with the offshore providers and close out of any issues in a timely and risk adverse manner.
  • Act as lead conduit for all internal and external regulatory, compliance or audit reviews to deliver a clean repot and ensure confidence in service offering.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Financial Services background essential, ideally within a Custody or Investment Bank Corporate Actions environment.
  • Successful performance in a risk-based environment with a proven track record of risk reduction.
  • Results based experience demonstrating strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Track record of working in a changing environment with the experience of learning, documenting and implementing new processes efficiently.
  • Experience of communicating both oral and written to management, clients and colleagues

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Relevant degree education preferred, however, non degree candidates with a proven track record in a similar role will be considered.
  • Experience of testing / delivering Asset Servicing operating systems / platforms preferred (Experience of TCS BaNCS advantageous)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience of team development and management
