The CCOR M&T Quality Assurance Team is part of Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk Management, and is responsible for managing and executing Quality Assurance on Monitoring and Testing activities across all lines of business globally.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The CCOR QA Team is responsible for the timely and effective management and execution of the Quality Assurance of the CCOR testing programme. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop key skills and knowledge relating to many and various business areas around the globe.
The QA team partners and supports CCOR M&T, Line of Business Compliance Officers, Core Compliance and Operational Risk Management globally. The responsibilities for this position are primarily for activities including:
- Quality Assurance test the execution of the CCOR Monitoring and Testing Programme in line with the firm’s expectation. The purpose of the programme is to test the design and effectiveness of controls in place to manage operational risk, compliance and conduct risk.
- Partnership with CCOR M&T, Operational Risk and Compliance managers, and business stakeholders.
- Involvement in departmental projects particularly in relation to the development of the development of the Annual Monitoring and Testing Plan.
- Work with global testing partners to support global monitoring and testing assignments as directed.
- Perform ongoing QA reviews of the Compliance functions mentioned, to ensure controls/standards are met.
- Question and investigate the reliability and integrity of data, the validity of conclusions and the appropriateness of assumptions made.
- Review quality of completed cases, based on quality testing standards.
- Identify key issues, trends, observations and effectively report summary results to key stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency with the Global QA framework and governance approach.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should have:
- Relevant Operational Risk Management or Compliance experience, alternatively other related experience such as audit, operations or business control management, or similar.
- An understanding of operational risks and their drivers and be able to challenge the design and effectiveness of the associated business controls.
- The ability to interpret financial regulations and regulatory requirements and assess operational compliance with those requirements.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of control design and root cause analysis
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and 2nd LOD partners.
- Have clear and concise verbal and written skills and be able to construct and deliver Testing Reports to senior management.
- Have a good appreciation of the regulations applicable to the relevant business, particularly new and upcoming regulations.
- Possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and CCOR partners.
- Be a team player, able to work with other team members across CCOR.
- Have good organizational skills with an ability to manage, prioritise, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Be comfortable interacting with, and presenting to, senior business management and control functions.
- Be able to quickly understand a highly complex and often rapidly changing business environment
- Audit or relevant Industry Qualifications or a University Degree.
- Strong documentation skills to clearly articulate results of testing.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and metrics.
