The WKO Program and Policy Support team is part of the wider Wholesale Know Your Client Onboarding (WKO), a global organization within JP Morgan serving the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) and Commercial Bank (CB). Within WKO Program and Policy Support team, we work closely with the WKO Group to deploy strategic regulatory related initiatives ensure business alignment, and undertake process improvements to implement a standardized and consistent client on-boarding service and deliver world-class client experience.

The WKO Program Support team implements solutions to the most complex problems. We develop cutting-edge processes that form the core of our business, enabling the firm to operate with maximum efficiency, in compliance with regulations alongside new markets and products.

Job description

As a Senior Associate in the WKO Program Support team, you will be part of a global team of seasoned professionals tasked with ensuring the successful design and execution of high priority efficiency and regulatory (AML and non AML) Projects. The WKO group is also aligned to the business, working closely with the front, middle and back offices on projects which are cross or multi-product/channel/geography and aligned to a CIB/CB strategy goals. The successful applicant will be part of an international team delivering on all aspects of Project delivery, including key aspects such as analysis and implementation phases, detailing business requirements, process flows, current/future state diagrams and implementation of regulatory related policies and practices.

The role assumes significant stakeholder engagement in these high priority initiatives and works closely with senior Lines of Business, WKO and CIB/CB Global Financial Crimes and Compliance (GFCC) and Local Financial Crimes and Compliance management, to set strategic direction, problem solve, drive execution and implementation of strategic regulatory initiatives.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

The team is currently hiring Project Managers who will manage the development of solutions alongside interdependent team members in technology and the business.

As a Project Manager, the key skill you require are;

Project management skills - Proven ability to frame projects and establish required governance to move projects forward within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. Prior use of and familiarity with full range of project management methodologies is required.

Leadership – Drive and implement the regulatory initiative, ensuring coherence across the businesses, risk, operations, GFCC and technology in developing the operating model.

Stakeholder management – Stakeholder expectation management, influencing and negotiation skills to maintain the momentum of delivery.

Entrepreneurial spirit - Demonstrated track record of being a self-starter that seeks to initiate change with both a strong attention to detail with ability to understand the bigger picture.

Problem solving skills - Ability to quickly broker solutions and resolve conflict situations using critical thinking based on exceptional analytical skills and a superior ability to highly structure and scope complex problems, apply a range of analytical tools, gain and synthesize insights, and develop solutions.

Subject expertise – Grow understanding of the business, end to end onboarding process and stakeholder environment in order to actively shape the regulatory operating model and challenge assumptions.

Change management & governance –Demonstrate effective controls around the introduction of change and or process requirements, ensuring engaged stakeholder member participation.

Implementation – Highly organised with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Delivery focused following the change process and agreed plan, in a controlled manner, with alignment to strategic programme milestones.

Risk & dependency management – Identify, document and communicate risks and dependencies affecting deliveries; drive their resolution.

Communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at many levels of the organization.

Qualifications and experience

Work experience: Extensive experience in process reengineering, solution design, project execution and leadership. Prior experience in financial services including partnership with business, risk, operations and technology groups across different locations

Product knowledge:

Required: Demonstrated knowledge of at least one of the following areas: Treasury Services Products, Investment Banking and Mergers & Acquisitions, Loans, Prime Brokerage, Custody and Fund Services, Future & Options Clearing, Markets trading (e.g. Cash Equities, Credit, Rates, Bonds, Securitized Products, Foreign Exchange, Commodities).

Preferred: Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering Due Diligence requirements, customer screening requirements, global regulatory requirements.

Tool kit: Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred: Signavio, Visio

Qualifications: Preferred: Formal Project Management training such as Prince 2 or APM
