The Investment Middle Office Services (IMOS) provide a complete suite of investment operations outsourcing services for institutional asset managers. Our services encompass all asset management activities post-trade execution, allowing asset managers to focus on their core competencies of managing assets and client relationships. The Middle Office Services Asset Servicing Team is responsible for the management of corporate actions processing from announcement capture to settlements, global projects as well as partnering with our stakeholders across client service, technology, product and implementations to ensure all client SLA’s are met, monitoring resiliency and focusing on trend analysis and process improvement.
Main responsibilities:
The role focuses specifically on Middle Office Asset Servicing. Middle Office Asset Servicing is driving an aggressive agenda to enhance client experience and operating processes.
- Accurate and timely processing of Corporate Actions covering the full lifecycle from Announcement Capture to Payments.
- Adherence to firm and departmental procedures and controls
- Timely resolution of Cash and Stock exceptions.
- Liaising with agent banks and custodians to improve processes and client experience.
- Ensuring 100% responses are received and sent on Corporate Action elections.
- Monitor and resolve daily diary and checklist activities.
- Proactively provide support to internal teams including Risk Management and Client Facing teams.
- Participate during User Acceptance testing phases for any system migrations.
- Assist with team and departmental projects.
- Understanding the control environment and ensuring daily checks are completed
- Participate in team huddles
- Escalate quickly to senior managers when issues arise
Qualifications
- University degree
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate actions and solid knowledge about different types of corporate action events across APAC markets
- Full lifecycle Asset Servicing product & process knowledge
- Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work to manage through a changing business landscape
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills including taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls
- Candidate must have a control focused agenda, and a thorough understanding of program/project risk
- Anticipate issues and aggressively drive initiatives to ensure results
- Self-starter and ability to learn quickly
- Proactive in identifying and escalating issues
- Fluency in English. Korean and Mandarin would be a plus
