We have a unique opportunity to join our business as a safety manager, supporting two of our divisions based across our Dandenong South and Moorabbin locations. ITW in Australia is the largest supplier of fasteners and hardware products into the retail market and a market leader in power fastening solutions for the framing, trim and roofing segments. Our Brands include; Paslode, Stockade, Buildex, Pryda and Databuild. Ramset™, Lane and Prestige.



The impact you could make


Providing strategic and operational safety leadership to both the Retail and Residential Divisions, you will define the strategy, plan and associated initiatives to enable a positive safety culture and drive compliance with relevant legislation and company policies that enable workforce health and wellbeing. As subject matter expert, you will coach leadership and Health and Safety Committees on compliance obligations and creation and maintenance of safe work practices. You will partner with, educate and provide advice to managers & employees on the management and mitigation against critical safety risks and the efficient and effective management of workplace hazards and/or incidents. With your continuous improvement focus, you will own and maintain the divisional safety system, manage reporting and audit the system for compliance.

As a natural ‘80/20’ leader, you will thrive in a busy work environment, helping to coach stakeholders and drive focus on the safety areas that have the greatest level of impact in the business. You will be suitably qualified in Workplace Health & Safety Management (or equivalent) and have demonstrated experience in the management of workers compensation, fitness for work cases and return to work (RTW) programs. You bring a strong knowledge of risk management principles including related practices and procedures, preferably in an industrial environment.
