Role Purpose

The SPST Execution team ensures that Stress Testing and forecasting is executed and implemented across the group in line with best practise for the purpose of (i) strategic decision-making, (ii) compliance with regulatory framework, and (iii) meeting enterprise-wide stress testing needs.

The role is within the execution team with ownership and accountability for some of the key elements of the global stress testing operating model with focus on the execution and delivery of Internal & Regulatory Stress Tests for the group and regions. In due course the role should include other aspects of the forecasting and stress testing process too.

In this role, you will:

• Contribute to the execution and analysis of wholesale credit stress test forecasting. This includes understanding the model methodologies, execution engine, and business inputs during the execution process.
• Review stress test results and carry out analysis to ensure that the stressed output (PD, LGD, Expected Credit Losses, Loan Impairment Charges, Regulatory Expected Loss and Risk Weighted Assets) is consistent with the narrative and severity of the scenario for the given portfolio(s).
• Help create business analysis using the forecasting results and present to stakeholders including Senior Management (in Group, regions, and businesses) and Regulators.
• Provide direction to the model execution engine team about the ongoing enhancement. In the future operating model, be willing to run the full or part of the engine for ad-hoc / quick analysis.
• Provide support to regional stress testing execution teams acting as a point of contact for one or more regions.
• Provide support to business forecasting and stress testing teams.
• Help Stress Test deliveries to meet best practice and meet regulatory requirements in terms of governance, methodology and IT infrastructure.
• Support the development of innovative solutions in order to address ad-hoc requests from senior management on stress scenario results.
