An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Revenue Protection team for a Revenue Protection Officer based at Liverpool Street Station.
The Role
The key focus of this role is to carry out revenue protection duties, such as reviewing passenger tickets (on trains and at stations) and issuing Penalty Fare notices to passengers who are liable to pay a Penalty Fare.
You will be involved in conducting interviews for suspected fare evaders (within the scope of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984) and carry out duties such as taking notes, prepare, and submit reports as well as attending court (where required) to give evidence.
Please note full training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to carry out your duties.
Shifts will be a combination of earlies, lates, weekends, and bank holidays between 05:00 and 01:00. The role entails an average of 35 hours per week.
The suitable candidate is responsible for getting to and from their agreed booking on/off location in time to commence a scheduled shift by their own means of transport. You should be willing to work in all weather conditions and be on your feet for most of your shift.

What we are looking for
- Someone with previous experience within customer service roles.
- A good level of both written and verbal communication
- Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst always maintaining integrity.
- A problem solver, as the role will encounter many different situations daily
- Being able to make decisions quickly, and the ability to communicate effectively, is an essential part of this role.
- Ability to evaluate and interpret information in order to make effective decisions.
