Role Details:

Gold Fields – Granny Smith is currently seeking a Coordinator: Paste Fill to join their Underground Mining Team.

Reporting to the Underground Manager, this role will coordinate the operation of the Paste Plant and all underground activities associated with Paste Fill. Responsible for the development and mentoring of the Paste Fill team to achieve budgeted production, meeting all quality standards including cost, safety and environment. This position may also be involved in improvement projects

This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off, 4 days on 3 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:

• Always acting in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of Gold Fields and ensures that the Vital Behaviours safety program is adhered to at all times
• Manage the Paste Plant systems and processes, identify and prioritise improvement opportunities.
• Manage maintenance activities to ensure the plant is working within specification and available for paste pouring as required.
• Monitor tails harvesting, blending and stock control of paste consumables including cement, RO1, tails, blended tails, etc
• Create daily workplans and paste pour instructions. Manage the paste reticulation network and project manage required extensions.
• Coordinate Paste Crew to carry out the daily work plan on a shift by shift basis and ensure their activities are consistently aligned with meeting the operation’s targets in a safe and productive manner. Conduct underground inspections as required.
• Liaise with the Underground Tech Services department for weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules.
• Develop and implement training methods and programs. Co-ordinate training requirements with relevant departments

About you:

• WA Underground Shift Supervisor’s Certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Paste Fill Coordinator
• 3 plus years familiarisation with Underground paste fill activities, pipe reticulation, paste walls, paste running
• At least 2 years familiarisation with Paste Plant operations
• Knowledge of WA Mines Legislation and Regulations with specific understanding in relation to paste operations
• Completed Apply First Aid Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License
