To supervise all terminal operations including non-traditional Freightliner duties on a shift-by-shift basis ensuring that safe, efficient and cost effective working is achieved and that the Quality of Service to the customer is of the highest order. Supervise and Mentor all Operations Staff in the performance of their duties ensuring any training needs are highlighted. Ensure all Terminal and Rail operations are carried out in compliance with Freightliner standards and policies, in addition to relevant legislation.

Ensure all staff on your shift operates within the current Safety Legislation and company policies, all aspects of the HASAW are correctly applied. Ensuring staff under your control comply with the local Health and Safety Policy and Local Working instructions.

Lead and control the members of the Handling Team on a shift-by-shift basis.
Ensure maximum utilisation of all plant equipment, and ensure coverage is provided to all Terminal Customers to meet Terminal needs.
