Social Media Specialist

Introduction to team

We create and deliver an aligned, dedicated marketing strategy to fuel each Expedia Group brand's success. Since our travelers interact with us through our brands, we have a brand focus in our marketing, while leveraging the scale and efficiency we’ve built in functional expertise.

Are you passionate about building online communities and working with creators? Expedia Group is looking for a Social Media Specialist to help manage community interactions and support creator content initiatives. In this role, you’ll help foster meaningful relationships with our community while collaborating with creators to produce engaging, brand-aligned content. If you love connecting with people online and supporting creative campaigns, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you will:

  • Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages across social media platforms.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with travelers, creating a vibrant community environment.

  • Assist in identifying and reaching out to creators who align with the Expedia Group brand and values.

  • Help manage creator partnerships, collaborating to produce fun and engaging content.

  • Organize and maintain creator content calendars to ensure timely and consistent content delivery.

  • Monitor community sentiment and track engagement metrics to optimize community interaction strategies.

  • Manage and track budgets for creator content partnerships to ensure efficiency.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure community management supports Expedia Group’s business goals.

  • Stay up to date with trends in community management and creator content to keep Expedia Group fresh and innovative.

Experience and qualifications:

  • You have gained 1+ years experience in a marketing or communications role.

  • You have some experience in community management through various social platforms.

  • Up-to-date with the latest developments in digital media.

  • Beginner knowledge of analytics, tracking and social media monitoring tool like Sprinklr.

  • Self-guided; creative; responsible; energetic; eager to work with other departments and independently; has a desire to see measured results.

  • Individual who thrives for details and possesses excellent writing, communications, and social skills.

  • Experience in multi-media content creation with basic design and video editing skills required.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

The total cash range for this position in West Hollywood is $67,500.00 to $94,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $108,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
