Director, Americas Account Management, Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates

Job Description

The Expedia Group (EG) Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates team is responsible for building and growing partnerships that allow other companies to sell travel to their audiences. Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates is hiring for an experienced commercial leader with strong business and analytical skills to lead and develop a high-performing team of partnerships managers.

As the leader of the Americas, you will work with global and regional stakeholders to grow existing partnerships and guide strategic investments in the region. You will also manage a multi-level, multi-lingual organization of ambitious professionals, helping them achieve their personal and EG’s collective goals.

This role will report to the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates and make direct and substantial impact on Expedia Group’s P&L.

What You Bring:

Team Leadership. You will lead a team of account managers and will have responsibility for directing, coaching, supporting, and engaging this team daily. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams to consistent and improving outcomes as well as creating a culture of trust and accountability.

Strong commercial and financial acumen. This role requires negotiation with major partners across the region. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience growing B2B partnerships by using a broad range of commercial levers.

Creative problem-solving and a collaborative approach. An ability to work across functions (e.g. Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal) and teams to get to great outcomes for EG’s partners, people, and business. Building and extending trust will be a key success factor.

High degree of accountability. This role will lead a business with strong growth ambitions and have a direct impact on the business’ success. Candidates should possess an entrepreneurial spirit, owner’s mentality, and a high degree of integrity.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure delivery of business objectives and financial targets including partnership growth
  • Leverage industry and functional expertise to identify and direct your team and others to opportunities
  • Optimize existing partnerships via targeted partner investments and collaborative account management in the Americas
  • Establish and lead long-term, successful strategic partnerships in all verticals that provide significant opportunity for growth
  • Contribute to new product development, vendor partnerships, and strategic programs
  • Lead ongoing, day-to-day performance of Americas Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates and influence across other functions to proactively and reactively resolve issues
  • Operate as both a high-level thinker and detail-oriented executer
  • Collaborate with your peers on the Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates Leadership Team to drive near- and long-term change for the benefit of Expedia Group and its stakeholders
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team while cultivating a culture of trust and accountability

The total cash range for this position in San Francisco is $237,000 to $331,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $379,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $185,500 to $280,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $320,0, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $231,000.00 to $323,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $369,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
