We are currently recruiting for an Assessor Trainerwho is specialised in switchingto join our People & Safety team based in Port Macquarie.

About the role

As an Assessor Trainer you will be responsible for the delivery of training and assessment required by the network business and external customers. The primary responsibility of the role will be to manage to switching portfolio and ‘The Rocks Ferry Switching Simulator’ in the Mid North Coast of Essential Energy.

Additional responsibilities include delivering high quality training and assessment in the classroom and workplace environments for apprentice, regulatory compliance and post-trade programs including Verification of Competency’s (VOCs) and the reporting of training outcomes. Training is delivered in line with, training plans, national training packages, organisational training matrices, authorisation requirements, or other training outcomes as required by the network business.

Furthermore, you will contribute to the ongoing development of training/assessment resources, programming of work and compliance with Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements in line with ASQA (SNRs).

About You

Ideally you would be an outgoing, people-focused and dynamic individual who is passionate about the industry. Invested in best practice and developing Essential Energy’s future and current people and practices.

You will need an understanding of Australian Skills Authority (ASQA), State Training Services, Vocational Education and Training (VET) contractual RTO/training function and other regulatory requirements and preferably have a background in protection systems.

Qualifications

  • Electrotechnology qualification, Certificate III ESI - Distribution or Cable Jointing
  • Work Cover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
  • Senior First Aid
