Retail Operations Manager
Job Description:
We’re looking for a Retail Operations Manager to support day-to-day operations across our retail and surface transport revenue streams. This is a varied role for someone with experience supporting stakeholders within a fast-paced operation.
As Retail Operations Manager, you will support our business partners to deliver their retail operations at Edinburgh Airport, helping to ensure a seamless retail offering to our passengers. You will monitor operational standards across the retail estate and take a key role in the execution of retail capital projects.
You will be the main operational point of contact for business partners within your categories, assisting with health and safety, logistics, deliveries, communication updates and capital projects.
About the Retail Team
Edinburgh Airport is Scotland’s busiest airport, with more than 11 million passengers passing through in 2022. Our Retail team are experts in what our passengers want to eat, drink and buy, and they drive revenue growth across varied categories including Duty Free, Shops, Restaurants, Bars and Lounges. The team works collaboratively to manage the pipeline and performance of over 100 contracts.

What you’ll be doing
- Providing day-to-day operational support and guidance to business partners
- On-boarding new business partners, ensuring they understand and comply with airport ways of working and health and safety standards
- Monitoring operational standards across the retail estate to ensure safety, efficiency and customer experience
- Undertaking regular operational reviews with business partners
- Updating and, where necessary, implementing retail operational processes
- Collaborating with other airport departments and representing retail at operational forums
- Building a strong internal network to familiarise yourself with airport developments that will be of interest to business partners
- Supporting the team to deliver regular communications to business partners
- Updating departmental health and safety records and attending reporting forums
- Participating in working groups on capital projects that impact retail partners

- You have hands-on experience working within a complex operational environment
- You are energetic with a strong people focus
- You are naturally organised, with experience delivering tasks effectively, efficiently and on-time
- You have experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results
- Nice to have – you are competent using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
