Downer has a long history of delivering transport infrastructure projects under a variety of contracting models. Services include the design and construction of light rail, heavy rail, signalling, track and station works, rail safety technology, bridges and roads.

We currently have opportunities available for Site Engineers on a 8 days on – 6 day off roster to join our team, delivering a key projects for our client in North West WA.

You will be working closely with our existing Engineering team to support the project delivery by ensuring budgetary and programming schedules are met in accordance with contract conditions.

This role is FIFO to Karratha a lifestyle friendly 8-6 roster (flying both days in the companies’ time), working on a variety of Rail and Rail corridor projects with a great team around you. This is a permanent position on a long term (4 years +) project and offers opportunity to step up in the future for the right candidate, with the right approach & attitude.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Monitor the Project Plan and record progress against the program.
• Ensure Site Diaries are completed on a daily basis.
• Resolve engineering issues as they arise
• Assist in management of delivery interfaces
• Generate and follow up with close out of Requests for Information
• Participate in milestone design reviews
• Review documentation for construction purposes including verification of standards, codes and specifications
• Support, monitor and review all aspects of the design review process.
• Prepare contractual correspondence

ABOUT YOU

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering / Construction
• Experience within the rail, transport, construction and engineering industries (project experience) preferable
• Ability to effectively prioritise and manage assigned workload
• Experience/background in Quality Engineering would be beneficial
