About the role

We are looking for Senior Analysts based in Brisbane who will have a key role in helping to deliver a wide range of exciting and challenging forensic assignments, primarily involving financial crime advisory forensic accounting and financial investigations (potentially including investigating accounting irregularities, allegations of fraud and corruption and complex financial analysis) and commercial disputes.

The successful candidate will become an integral member of Deloitte Forensic and the role will involve:

  • Supporting across a range of financial crime advisory & assurance engagements covering AML/CTF, fraud & sanctions
  • Helping to delivering forensic accounting and investigation services to corporate clients and their legal representatives (where appropriate)
  • Significant contributions to the gathering of information, analysis and problem solving aspects of our forensic services
  • Working on a portfolio of varied assignments, including litigated matters (e.g. expert determinations) and non-litigated matters (e.g. asset tracing, fraud or misconduct)
  • Working in high performing teams that draw on different skills where appropriate, including financial crime, forensic technology and data analytics.

About you

A successful candidate will have:

  • Previous work experience involving financial crime (e.g. AML/CTF, fraud & sanctions), forensic accounting and financial investigations
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Commerce or related field
  • CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion is preferred
  • Proficiency with relevant software (including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient financial modelling and writing skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written (with the ability to explain and influence), and a keen attention to detail
  • A strong sense of professional curiosity and a willingness to learn
  • Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team.
