About the role

As our next Pricing Manager, you will partner and work closely with the Senior Pricing Manager to deliver the pricing & value strategy. You will be the main point of contact for the merchandise teams on pricing and value and provide guidance and support on key decisions about market pricing, value plans, promotional tactics, and effectiveness.

This role will see you oversee the price reporting where you will be able to look for opportunities to refine, enhance or automate this with a view to provide more value for both the team and the varied stakeholders this role will partner with. You will also:

  • Conduct robust analysis to identify and evaluate pricing and value metrics
  • Deliver insightful commentary and actionable insights to key stakeholders leveraging your influencing skills to deliver the outcomes based on the pricing & value strategy
  • Lead thinking around how to build in data to reporting and decision making from a range of sources across the business including Flybuys and IRI Synergy data
  • Be familiar with pricing guardrails as maintained by compliance team and help educate BU teams on these
  • Identify and implement process changes that deliver improved end to end efficiencies

About you and your skills

This role will enable you to leverage your proven pricing experience and the ability to have genuine impact. As part of a large, nationally recognised retail business there are varied avenues for success!

You’ll also need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in an environment where priorities can sometimes be continually re-evaluated
  • Strong critical thinking and able to analyze data independently and draw out salient insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to forward think, problem solve and a ‘big picture’ mindset
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability and comfort in presenting to varied senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience in the management in large scale data and development of insightful reports
