End User Computing (EUC) Architect
Overview
The primary responsibility of the End User Computing (EUC) Architect is to provide expertise and leadership in the roadmap, design, configuration, and management of the end-to-end modern workspace experience including all corporate owned EUC or BYOD devices and associated supporting management services.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Provide Technical and Operational ownership and guidance across the End User Computing / Modern Workspace services and environment
- Develop and maintain EUC and Modern Workspace strategy and road map for the organisation
- Design, enhance and implement the End User Compute platform and infrastructure
- Design and plan roll out of major upgrades for core EUC solutions
- Manage hardware roadmap with vendors to ensure smooth transitions: continuous supply chain globally, support of new models by standard OS images and application support for major business applications
- Continuously evaluate, improve and automate the delivered ICT operational services in light of generated business value, quality, efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility
- Ensure that an organisation can operate its critical business service functions during a disaster or any event that results in a disruption of application operation
Education and Qualifications required for this role:
- Tertiary level ICT qualifications (or related discipline) or demonstrated experience in the appropriate field.
- Minimum 3 years of technical working experience as a EUC Architect / Engineer or Modern Workspace Architect through creation and definition of architecture and blueprint in a modern workspace environment.
Experience, Skills and Behavioural Competencies required for this role:
- Demonstrated enterprise level experience in Moder Workspace Toolsets, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM, MDM (Intune) , Microsoft365, Windows 10 (incl. WVD/VDI), Office 365 Applications
- Demonstrated enterprise level experience in Azure AD, Azure AD PIM
- Demonstrated enterprise level experience in PowerShell and other scripting languages
- A strong understanding of ITIL principles in a complex ICT environment is preferred
- Experience with Technical Co-ordination skills within the area of expertise
- Knowledge and experience in project lifecycles and methodologies
