About the role
You will be responsible for assisting BAC project teams with BIM related activities in project delivery. The BIM Coordinator is also responsible for performing a moderately complex level of design model/drafting and discipline related advisory function in relation to building, building services, leases, civil and utilities infrastructure of the airport.
Key responsibilities
Update and maintain the currency, completeness, integrity and quality of Asset Information Model data and working drawings to align with BAC’s Digital Engineering standards.
- Respond to a wide and varying range of BIM and drafting requests to locate and provide base information to new projects.
- Manage, review, authorise and create Digital Engineering Management Plans at project level.
- Attend project kick-off meetings to support project managers’ understanding of BIM requirements, processes and workflows. Support project managers in the use of Navisworks and other model viewing platforms to access and navigate Project Information Models.
- Liaise with internal clients and BAC project teams at a design or specialist discipline level regarding specific projects, providing input and advice, as required.
Experience and qualifications
Relevant qualifications and experience working as BIM Coordinator across multiple disciplines, particularly mechanical.
- Skilled at using Revit, Navisworks and other CDE applications.
- Experience across two or more of the following drafting disciplines using CAD drafting and BIM software: architecture, civil, building services and utility networks. Experience in mechanical is strongly preferred.
