About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking a Technical Specialist to join Boral’s NSW Product Solutions team! As a subject expert, you will be responsible for monitoring, developing and optimising the technical performance of our Concrete products for major infrastructure projects.

This is a permanent, full-time position primarily based in North Ryde. Candidates with the flexibility to travel across Greater Sydney and Illawarra regions are encouraged to apply. To support you, we will provide you with a Tool of Trade vehicle, phone and laptop!

Duties

Reporting to the Technical Manager, your contributions will see that you gain full exposure to a variety of duties including:

  • Concrete mix design management.
  • Monitoring quality of concrete raw materials and reducing concrete mix costs
  • Active monitoring of test results for concrete products to ensure conformance to Australian Standards and specifications.
  • Assessing product’s field performance for suitability with customer requirements and applications
  • Reviewing technical content of project specifications within tenders and offering innovative product solutions

About You

To be successful, you must demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience as a Concrete Technical Specialist
  • Proven negotiation skill the ability to analyse, assess and mitigate contractual risk
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably Engineering
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to manage a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong customer focused work ethic and a solutions driven approach
  • Current Driver’s License and the flexibility to travel across NSW
