The Role

A fantastic opportunity has become available at our hard rock Quarry in Currabubula, 30km South of Tamworth. We are looking for 3 enthusiastic, self-motivated, dependable Quarry Operators to join a small team in early 2022. You will need to be appropriately skilled and qualified to provide safe & efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment and quarry crushing plant.

You will work towards gaining skills for a range of tasks required for the daily sales & production operations at the Quarry.

Duties

• Operation of Mobile Plant & equipment including Front End Loaders, Excavator, Dump Truck & Water Truck (HME).
• Actively involved with the daily operation of crushing and screening plant including daily inspections and pre starts.
• Loading of road trucks using loader scales.
• Carry out plant maintenance and cleaning activities.
• Actively participate in plant servicing, screen changes and repairs.
• General labouring duties covering varying tasks.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in operating HME.
• Demonstrable evidence of prior learning or VOC accreditation of HME.
• Prior experience or knowledge in hard rock quarrying & crushing operations.
• Mechanically minded person with ability to work effectively in a small team.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety, health & quality.
• Able to work Monday to Friday including Saturday when required.
• Hold current driver’s license & have own reliable vehicle.
