About the Opportunity
We are actively recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager to join our Supply Chain division. Overseeing our WA operations, you will be responsible for designing and executing our logistics strategy whilst actively maintaining our safe, reliable and efficient supply to our customers.
Duties
As an integral member of our team, you will have responsibility for a range of high priorities including:
- Effective management and coordination of WA contracted tipper and tanker fleets
- Ensuring sufficient transport capacity to meet customer demands
- Providing leadership and support to the region on all Safety matters and CoR compliance
- Ensuring efficient transport operations meeting budget expectations
- Fleet Management (Capital) and Workshop / Maintenance of capital assets
- Cost management
- Contract negotiations and management
- Value Improvement Project and EBIT producing project management
- Maintaining valuable relationships with internal and external customers, and subcontractors.
Skills/ Experience
We are seeking an experienced leader who can demonstrate:
- Strong supervisory or management experience within the Transport/ Logistics industry
- Proven business acumen with a successful track record in cost management and business improvement
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate a variety of internal and external customers
- Thorough understanding of HVNL, CoR and NHVAS
- Strong exposure to risk & safety management
