Peppertree Quarry, Located in the NSW Southern Tablelands, the quarry serves the Sydney metropolitan area's need for building aggregates. The quarry opened its gates in early 2014 and supplies up to 3.5 million tonnes of aggregate material per year at peak production levels.

The quarry operates 7 days a week so there will be a 12 hour shift structure with 4 rotating crews.

The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has become available based in our Peppertree Quarry, the largest rock quarry in Australia. We are looking for dependable plant operators to support the team by the safe and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment and general quarry plant.

You will work towards gaining skills for all tasks throughout the Quarry not limited to using heavy mobile equipment.

Main Duties:

• Operation of excavator
• Operation of other Mobile Plant including articulated dump trucks and front end loaders
• Basic maintenance and plant cleaning along with general labouring duties
• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in excavator and mobile plant operations with demonstrable evidence is desired
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety, health and quality
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision
