About the Role

- 2 weeks on / 1 week off & Flex rosters available, FIFO from Perth.
The Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

We are currently seeking experienced Drill and Blast Technicians to join our Drill & Blast team. As an experienced Drill & Blast Technician, you will safely execute the different tasks undertaken by the technician on a daily basis, safe handling of explosives, safe and productive operation of a drill rig.
Our Production Technicians are exposed to all facets of drill & blast activities with a large variety of physical tasks.
About You
To be successful for this role, you will be a meticulous operator and committed team player with a strong emphasis on safety and a mindset that promotes a culture of zero harm.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- C Class Drivers Licence is required, however a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence will be considered highly advantageous
- WA Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Experience in large scale open pit equipment operation
- Have a working knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
Desirable but not Essential:
- WA Shotfiring Licence (Shotfirer’s)
- Experience in D65 Epiroc Rigs
- Experience in Pit Viper 271 Rigs
- Experience with electronic firing systems experience preferred
